New York: The Trustees of the New York and Brooklyn Bridge, 1883. Invitation engraved on cream-colored card, 9 x 6-1/2 in. Toned at edges; corners slightly chipped; few marks. Item #207830
Invitation issued in the name of Mr. James Ryan, with the name added by hand in ink. The invitation card includes a fine image of the span, then known as the "New York and Brooklyn Bridge," flanked by two crests representing the two cities; engraved by Tiffany & Co. with their mark at the lower edge.
