One of 100 numbered copies, the entire edition. Includes a foreword by the editor, who was also Ralph Block's literary executor. The book reprints Moore's 1926 letters to Block soliciting from him an article in response to piece by art critic Thomas Craven that had run in The Dial disparaging the merits of cinema as an art form, as well as a pair of later letters recalling the experience from the perspective of some decades. Ralph Block was an important figure in the movie world as a writer and producer and founding member of the Screenwriter's Guild. His Dial essay is an important contribution to the literature of cinema.
