One of only fifty copies, the entire edition, this being one of those without the hand-colored vignettes Merrill added to twenty copies. One of Merrill's scarcest books, this copy bears a presentation inscription written by Merrill in five colors and three languages: "For Laurence Scott, il miglior contraffatore - homage de l'auteur, J.M., April 1965." An artist and fine press printer, Scott, years after this inscription, printed and illustrated Merrill's "Plays of Light."
