Dehmel declines public involvement with the production of a play, referring to his difficulties with productions of his own plays and explaining that "ausserdem, wenn ein Dichter den andern empfieht, das wird immer als Klickenmache bemisstraut, und in der Regel ja mit Recht. . ."
