Text of a joint resolution passed by the coalition comprising the Sailor's Union of the Pacific; Marine, Firemen, Oilers, and Watertenders Assn.; and Marine Cooks and Stewards Assn. in support of striking maritime workers in Vancouver, BC. The U.S. unions had waged a successful strike on the west coast in 1934, but their Canadian counterparts'nstrike was broken violently. This resolutions affirms support for the Vancouver longshoremen and unity among all maritime unions in the West, and it calls for the Americans to refuse to handle Vancouver scab cargo.
