Event also featured Hollywood stars including Franchot Tone, Virginia Bruce, Gale Sondergaard and others, a symphony orchestra led by Peter Meremblum, performance premiering the song "Make Way for Tomorrow" by Jerome Kern, Ira Gershwin, and E.Y. Harburg, later featured in the movie "Cover Girl" with Rita Hayworth and Gene Kelly, and with representatives from wartime production factories.
