Among the more desirable issues in the long run of Film Culture's existence, this issue was devoted to the pre-eminent experimental filmmaker Stan Brakhage with his essay "Metaphors on Vision" making up nearly the entire issue, following an introduction about Brakhage by P. Adams Sitney. The design of this issue is a highlight of George Maciunas's Fluxus aesthetic.
