Edition limited to 500 numbered copies, signed by both Johnson and Davenport, this being number 250; it was printed on Fabriano and Cockerell paper with a central insert of French marbled paper. The "two eccentrics" are Le Facteur Cheval, builder of le Palais Ideal, Hautrives (Drome), France and Raymond Isidore, builder of le Petite Pique-Assiette at Chartres. In addition to providing the portrait vignettes, Davenport was the book's dedicatee.
