A very nice set of Burney's third novel, with list of subscribers in the front of Vol. 1 -- including "Miss J. Austen, Steventon." This set was uniformly bound with other Burney first edition for the American physician and adventurer Alexander Hamilton Rice and his wife Eleanor Elkins Rice, the heiress and philanthropist who donated the Widener Library to Harvard in memory of her son and first husband who perished on the Titanic.
