Small portion of the corner of the table of contents torn away, no loss; narrow bands of offsetting to edges of endpapers from binding; covers lightly rubbed at hinges and extremities; spine drying, but intact; a couple of small stains. Includes an engraved title page vignette as well as a portrait engraving of Goldsmith by Esdall. This copy is from the regular edition; there was also a large paper edition with a different title page and imprint.
