N.P. International Workers Order, n.d. (1941). Mimeograph broadside, one side of a single leaf, approx. 8-1/2 X 11 inches. Folded; neat pencil notation to one corner; a couple of tiny nicks. Item #204749
Delicate bulletin board poster in opposition to Roosevelt's Lend-Lease Act, which would be passed by Congress in March of 1941, allowing the U.S. to supply arms to Britain and any other country. This poster warns: "This bill gives the President unlimited powers to enslave the American people for the benefit of the Imperialist war makers of Britain and of our own gang of Wall street thugs. It gives the President free sailing to take us right into the war that is now raging between two robber cliques. It gives him the right to take away from the American People every right they have through 165 years of work in the building of Democracy. IT MEANS FASCISM. IT MEANS WAR. . ."
