Two states of a bulletin board announcement of a party and dance scheduled to raise funds in support of striking workers at a small but important diecasting company serving the aviation industry. In the build-up to the war, the strike had wide reaching repercussions, and was cited in Life magazine for its significant potential impact on US military production. It was was quickly settled. This leaflet includes the qualifier "If Strike Is Settled, Come For A Victory Celebration" . The later state here has an additional statement, added by hand to the mimeo stencil, acknowledging the settlement and stating that the party's proceeds would now go to buy food for the families of striking mine workers in Trona.
