Original protest broadsheet from the February 1960 convention of the California Democratic Council, an activist group that emerged out of the past campaigns of Adlai Stevenson. The group met in advance of the Democratic National Convention in Los Angeles, at which John F. Kennedy beat Johnson for the nomination. The verso of this broadsheet reads: "We Demand Civil Rights Legislation NOW!!!" and "We Demand Anti-Lynch Laws NOW!!!"
