Promotional flyer in tabloid form for the Oscar-nominated adaptation by Richard Brooks from Evan Hunter's sensational novel. The flyer, printed in a black and red, includes stills from the film, which starred Anne Francis and Glenn Ford, as well as a young Sidney Poitier. It is aimed at theater owners, offering printed promotional materials for lobby-cards and posters. The book, and the film, sparked controversy with their stark depiction of juvenile delinquency. Blackboard Jungle was also the first movie to feature a rock-and-roll song, Bill Haley & the Comets' "Rock Around the Clock," which itself became an instant hit and a classic.
