One of 100 numbered copies, (there were another 50 on japon). Mallarmé had corresponded wth Deman as early as 1891 about an editon of his Poésies, to be limited to 100 copies. Publication was delayed while the poet completed "Hériodade," and ulimately was completed after Mallarmé's death. This copy has the small, discreet ownerhip stamp of the jurist and art historian Bruno Adriani, author of two books on French poetry.
