Annette Kolb (1870-1967) German novelist and biographer, a central figure in the exile community of writers and artists during the nazi period. A warm letter to the prominent Jewish banker and patron of the arts Hugo Simon, himself an exile, who established funds to help support exiled artists. Kolb writes to recommend a painter friend she knew via Julius Meier-Graefe, and ask after other friends and colleagues. Mentions René Schickele, Rose Hilferding.
