New York: Boni and Liveright, 1925. First edition. 8vo, 368pp; yellow cloth stamped in black. Fine in a spine-sunned dust jacket with a touch wear to the spine ends and extremities. Item #205640
A nice copy of the author's third novel. Critically acclaimed in his time, most of which he spent as an expatriate in France, Updegraff has since slipped into neglect. He is perhaps best remembered today for having been the Yale roommate and longtime close friend of Sinclair Lewis. The uncommon dust jacket features an illustration by Hans Flato.
